After the player has acted on their hand, the dealer checks for a valid blackjack. The dealer then sweeps the bet, shuffles the remaining cards and begins a new round.
When a player’s hand is closer to 21 than the dealer’s, they win and are paid an amount equal to their original bet. If the dealer’s hand is less than 21, they bust and the player wins. If the player and dealer have the same hand-total, it’s a push (“push”), and the player gets their original bet back.
